Central Colorado Conservancy and Guidestone Colorado are hosting a landowner open house - Innovations in Agriculture Conservation - at The Hive, located at 729 Main St. in Cañon City, on July 24th from 5:30-7:30pm. The open house is free to attend and will be a wonderful opportunity to learn more about tools for landowners and agricultural producers to protect and enhance their properties and grazing leases.

Attendees will learn about the nuts and bolts of placing a conservation easement on their
property, innovative and successful ranching related projects such as virtual fencing, a watershed wide restoration and grazing land enhancement partnership, and the Land Link program, a statewide database which connects landowners to land seekers interested in farming or ranching. Additionally, attendees will hear from Lee Ann Oliver who chose to protect her Cañon City property with a conservation easement held by the Conservancy and then transferred ownership of the property to Guidestone. The property is currently leased to Alex Ewers, a local producer who will speak about how the hay production value has benefited his operation.
While the open house is geared toward landowners and agricultural producers, everyone is welcome and encouraged to attend this free event. For our planning purposes, please RSVP here - https://bit.ly/RSVPInnovationsInAgConservationOpenHouse. Light appetizers and drinks will be served.
