Central Colorado Conservancy is a nationally accredited land trust based in Salida, Colorado.  Our mission is to protect the lands, waters and quality of life of Central Colorado as our communities face pressure and rapid growth. Through land easements, restoration efforts and connecting our communities to conservation, Central Colorado Conservancy is leading the charge to preserve the places and quality of life we all love for generations to come.

Upper Arkansas Watershed Partnership Coordinator

Central Colorado Conservancy and the Upper Arkansas Watershed Partnership (UAWP) seek a Watershed Coordinator to coordinate coalition building and collaborative work in the Upper Arkansas River Basin watershed.  The UAWP was established in early 2020 as a grassroots coalition of organizations and landowners focused on watershed health and resiliency. The UAWP Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the UAWP, building its capacity and efficacy, managing grants, and communicating the work of the partnership to the community. The Coordinator will also lead Central Colorado Conservancy’s internal team’s UAWP activities, helping to fulfill the organization’s watershed restoration and private land protection goals by coordinating across Conservancy programs. Request for Proposals: Arkansas River Community Preserve Land Management Planner

Central Colorado Conservancy seeks a land management planner to facilitate the creation of a management plan for the Arkansas River Community (ARC) Preserve on a contract basis. The ARC Preserve was created in partnership with Lake County and Colorado Open Lands to conserve the river corridor and provide public access for recreation. The planner will be responsible for the facilitation of management planning meetings and the creation of a land management plan. The scope of work will involve planning and attending remote and in-person meetings and site visits in Lake County to gather stakeholder opinions for public uses and managing conservation values  in the Preserve.
